Monster Woman or Soyoko Wuhti Hopi kachina

Product #:  ogre
Brand:  Hopi
Description:  First time ever listed from our gallery Trading Post Southwest in Pinetop, Az where we deal direct with award winning artists. This is one of our top collector's kachinas. A mint Soyok Wuhti or monster woman. This is an ogre that is in demand with collectors and if its scary they want it. This item was carved by famed Hopi carver[when you can get his work] John Poleahla Jr. This kachina teaches Hopi children the Hopi way and threatens to eat bad children whole. She carries a bag on her back to carry them away. This fine collectible piece is 16 1/2 inches including John's edge of the cliff signature base. This is one of 3 top kachinas on ebay[ I look at the others daily] and I own one of the others a mountain spirit. A local gallery set the value at 2500 minimum but we are selling it for 1200.00 and its worth every cent. I search the web daily and I have never seen this kachina more detailed from any other carver. This is suited for your finest case.Investment quality here.
