Navajo kachinas Native American painting Gorman

Product #:  wa50
Description:  This is an original painting by Native American kachina carver, painter Richard Gorman. Gorman is Hopi and Navajo and this fine painting is a modern rendition of Navajo Yei-be-chai kachinas. This 20 by 16 painting was purchased direct from the artist who I know. I am passing on the fantasic pricing that he offered me.ABOUT THE ARTIST: Richard was born in Keams Canyon, Arizona on April 20, 1962, and raised on First Mesa, Polacca, Arizona. His mother was Hopi and his father was Navajo. Hopi tradition states that the children of a Hopi woman are Hopi and belong to her family. This is very common now a days with many famous Hopi carvers. Richard's work is high in demand and he is a famed tribal painter also.
